Freezer containers will be established as temporary storage space for Greenlandic ingredients before being sent to The Greenlandic House in Aarhus and Aalborg in Denmark. Space will be available for rent by the shelf.
Artistic decoration of all Greenlandic food markets, both exterior and interior, done in collaboration with the elementary schools in Nanortalik, Narsaq and Qaqortoq. Inside animals will be highlighted with information about when they are in season.
South Greenland's food brand. We want Mamartukuluut to be South Greenland's regional food brand. With the seal of Mamartukuluut, one will never be in doubt where the given product comes from and which quality it has.
Gathering in plenum of South Greenlandic fishermen and hunters. Discussion items will include the possibility of opening a year-round wholesale purchasing system as well as opening a year-round fish factory that accepts all approved species. A Board of Directors must be appointed as well as the Company form, employees, location and resale partner. The Department of Fishing and Hunting within the Government of Greenland will attend, advise and discuss. There will be presentations for inspiration, given by other Greenlandic fishermen and hunters who have already successfully opened a wholesale factory.
Fishermen & Hunters' Day - there are prizes for the fisherman or hunter who has had the greatest catch, and also who has been the most competitive, which will be published online in our social media.

Video 1 about being a fisherman & hunter in South Greenland, to be filmed in Nanortalik about off-shore hunting culture, called kipparneq, and the tradition of making fermented seal fat, called iginneq. The video is to document and preserve this unique South Greenlandic hunting culture. It will also be used as educational material in elementary schools to teach and inspire children about the culture. Fishermen and hunters will also physically visit schools to tell about their lifestyle in person.
Video 2 about being a fisherman & hunter in South Greenland, to be filmed in Narsaq about seal hunting culture. The video is to document and preserve this fishing and hunting culture and to show the everyday life of fishermen and hunters, including the morning preparation routine, sailing out into the fjord, getting a seal and butchering it. The video will also be used as educational material in elementary schools to teach and inspire children about the culture. Fishermen and hunters will also physically visit schools to tell about their lifestyle in person.
Video 3 about being a fisherman & hunter in South Greenland, to be filmed in Qaqortoq about king eider duck hunting culture. The video is to document and preserve this fishing and hunting culture and to show the everyday life of fishermen and hunters. The video will also be used as educational material in elementary schools to teach and inspire children about the culture. Fishermen and hunters will also physically visit schools to tell about their lifestyle in person.
Throughout the year, we will make interviews with fishermen and hunters as well as take photos and film, for future use. For example, we want to document how to make the regional specialty of fermented seal fat in Nanortalik. The fishermen and hunters can share their stories and knowledge through podcasts and video.
The Fishing and Hunting Commissorium is made in cooperation with the Government of Greenland and South Greenlandic fishermen and hunters. The working tasks are related to industry development, factories and experimental fishing. The Commissorium began in 2022 when the Government of Greenland investigate the challenges for fishing and hunting in South Greenland and set development goals in line with what South Greenlandic fishermen and hunters want. Two meetings were held in 2022, and there's a date on the calendar for meeting in 2023, also in collaboration with the municipality Kommune Kujalleq. Fishermen and hunters in South Greenland must have the opportunity to gather and discuss, and the Department of Fishing and Hunting within the Government of Greenland will also attend.
An inspiration trip to Nuuk, Iceland and Maine, together with ISGs Food Innovation and Self Sufficiency Consultant to learn from food producers who have successfully and sustainably made valuable use of marine resources. A selection of companies and restaurants will be visited, specifically ones with great opportunity and willingness for continued future collaboration. There will also be meetings with various departments within the Government of Greenland such as Fishing and Hunting, and Agriculture and Self Sufficiency.
