17 April 2024

Innovation South Greenland is proud to share that Sarah Woodall, Tourism Destination Manager, has been nominated and selected by the Government of Greenland Department for Business, Trade, Mineral Resources, Justice and Gender Equality to be one of three Greenlandic committee members within the Nordic Atlantic Cooperation (NORA). The membership will last from 9 April 2024 through 31 December 2027. There are 12 committee members in total, three from each country.

“I’m thankful for the nomination and trust! The work has already begun, and I’m really looking forward to the coming cooperation,” says Sarah Woodall.

About NORA

NORA is an organisation under the Nordic Council of Ministers which was created to strengthen cultural, commercial and research cooperation between the Faroe Islands, Greenland, Iceland and Norway (coastal Norway). The organisation plans various conferences and events to give wide opportunity for network-building and cooperation. The organisation also awards funds to development projects based on applications and initiative from individual stakeholders from the four countries, pending participation from several of the countries.

Innovation South Greenland’s participation via Sarah supports NORA’s vision that the countries’ committee members should have wide knowledge of and contact to both public and private stakeholders in their country, and at both the central/national level and the regional level. This will also contribute to a greater cooperation between the business community in South Greenland and NORA.
